Introduction to library training sessions

Online and mask-to-mask library training sessions are offered by the library. 

Please note: Bookings for mask-to-mask sessions are essential since attendance will be limited.

Outline of library training programme

The library training programme is a very useful programme especially for first year students, where you will learn more about the following subject areas:

  • How to apply keywords to your topic
  • How to create your library PIN for off campus access
  • How to find information in databases, eg EBSCOhost, Sabinet African journals
  • How to find information in Google Scholar
  • How to find books in FindPlus and the Classic Catalogue
  • How to find Ebooks in FindPlus, Classic Catalogue and EBSCOhost

The training programme will be offered online and mask-to-mask session will also be offered at a later stage.

Bookings for mask-to-mask sessions is essential, since mask-to-mask training will only be offered to small groups.
