Evidence Synthesis

"Evidence synthesis" refers to any method of identifying, selecting, and combining results from multiple studies. 

Types of evidence synthesis include:

  • Mapping reviews (question-based, visual representation)
  • Rapid reviews
  • Systematic reviews (can include meta-analysis)
  • Umbrella reviews (review of systematic reviews)
